Dental lasers are the latest technology used in dental treatments. They provide a host of benefits for our patients, including performing dental treatments with:
- No injections
- No drill
- No pain
That’s right! Dental lasers make it possible to perform routine and complex treatments without incisions, shots or stitches. This not only helps our dentist perform more accurate and precise treatments but also helps you enjoy your dental care a little bit more.
Dental lasers can be used for a variety of treatments, including fillings, crowns, gum disease treatment, root canals, extractions and TMJ treatment. They have significant advantages over conventional treatment methods, some of which include:
- There is less bleeding
- Faster healing
- Far less pain
- Kills harmful bacteria while leaving healthy tissue alone
- Generates new, healthy tissue and bone
- Dental procedures can be done much faster
LBR Laser Technology
We now offer a new laser technology called LBR (Laser Bacterial Reduction). LBR treatments are comfortable and quick, and they can kill even more of all the harmful bacteria around your teeth.
We recommend LBR treatment before every cleaning. The cost is $40. This treatment is not yet covered by insurance.
It is estimated that about 90 percent of the adult U.S. population either currently has or will have gum disease. Gum disease can cause serious medical problems, including heart disease, kidney failure, dementia and other conditions.
Gum disease can be spread to your family members or anyone you kiss. It is a very insidious disease that is hard to control once it progresses too far. People with gum disease need to see a hygienist every three months to clean out the resulting deep perio pockets created by bacteria attacking your gum tissue and bone.
The best way to avoid the harmful effects of gum disease and stay healthy is to have LBR done during your cleaning. It is quick, comfortable and highly effective at killing bad bacteria in your mouth.
